Add masking…...

I would really like to make this my go to app but I can’t. Since I do a lot of artistic compositions on my iPad Pro, I need the ability to use masks. Unfortunately this is a deal breaker for me. Please add a masking function!!!

Great app, just needs some details fixed to become amazing

Im a heavy Photoshop / Wacom user and digital artist. Im generally really happy with this app, certainly the best one Ive seen on an iPad..so it almost made me ditch Photoshop.. If they could fix only the following 2 things.. I actually would: 1. Needs shortcut buttons somewhere: Takes way too much time to switch between different actions (modes) ..for example: going into selection mode , then switching back to paint or eraser should be seamless...now I have to click in at least 7 places to do that. 2. If I make a selection ...why does the app link it to a certain layer..if I switch to another layer selection just disappears. 3. Quickly switching on/off for layers like eye icon in Photoshop layers ..really missing similar feature. Otherwise great software. Congrats !

Expected more

For all the hype Pixelmator gets I was expecting something much more functional. I get frequent crashes on my iPhone 6 Plus. When its not crashing the interface glitches to the point that I have to force quit the app. Bugs aside, the editing tools just arent that great. Trying to select anything other than a square or circle is an exercise in futility.

Missing some basic light adjustments

Ok app but need highlight and shadow adjustments. Right now theres only brightness and contrast. You can do more in just the camera roll. More color adjustments would also be nice but I can do simple adjustments without it. The light adjustments are more important for me.

ALL IN ONE… AWESOME

I think having all the tools in one package is the best thing ever and unlike adobe having to go from one app to the other is not professional or intuitive when it comes to working and being in your zone… thank you please keep it this way..

Mr

Needs better Apple pencil support, please add a way to adjust pressure sensitivity and brush sizes while using the Apple pencil as a stylus.

Crashes using voice recognition, Siri

I dont use the advanced features of this I just simply use the simple text saving to an image, but when I try to dictate words and press done on the voice, the app crashes. Other than that it does what I wanted to do. Fix the dictation crash.

What a waste

Please, please, do not buy this. It has nothing anymore different from other free apps. It does not even have more than 6settings. 6 effects for 5$?? Really what a waste

Disappointing App

I just bought the iPad Pro so I could start doing more of my photo editing on it. I was hoping the this would be my go to App...Sadly it will not be. It may work well for someone who wants to do some cute borders, text banners etc. but I dont. I wanted a robust editor that could do everything I want to do in one App. It does the basics, contrast, exp., white balance, saturation etc. that all the free programs do. Very un intuitive interface and many touches aka (keystrokes) to accomplish anything. I spent $5.00 bucks and can get better tools for free. Photoshop Fix, LR, Photogene4 come to mind. The search continue

Crashes after 15 seconds

Brand new iPad, bought the app, $5 and it crashes every time I open it. Very disappointed

Needs raw support

Great app, decent UI. Please add the ability to work with raw photos on iPad pro.

Pales in comparison to Mac version

Edits images decently, but leaves something to be desired in terms of intuitiveness. Also experienced bug where the app doesnt show up as requesting access to photos, so this cant be enabled.

Pixelmator

excellent companion app to the OS X version. I am, by no means, an artist by trade but I know enough to do my job and this app. no crashes on my 6s, functions quite well. keep up the good work.

Can open full-fledged .psd files!!

What what?! Sweet stuff. Awesome sauce. Keep up the good work.

5 steps from perfection

This is easily one of the most powerful & feature packed photo editors Ive ever found on a mobile device, & they update it often with lots of enhancements. It is missing some of the features the full Mac version has, but it is much more simple to use. And it has tons of features that Adobe leaves out of their mobile apps. However, the Pixelmator developers still overlook some basic needs, which is baffling for an app that normally has incredible attention to detail.... 1) The biggest missing feature by far is that there is no way to toggle between your current edits and the original version of the photo to track your progress. This is a basic necessity of every photo editing app, and is hard to believe Pixelmator never thought it was important enough to include. 2) The painting tools need to have a permanent on screen shortcut for adjusting brush size & opacity, rather than making you tap through menus every time you need to adjust it. 3) The photo collage tool only has 6 templates available, and there is no way to adjust the layout options. So for example, if you want a grid of four photos all the exact same size, there is no way to do that. Most apps offer dozens of templates, and you can adjust the dividers between photos to customize the stock layouts. 4) For more serious photo editors, a record feature to playback workflow edits would be massively helpful to show friends how Pixelmators tools helped transform the original photo into your finished version. 5) It needs a tool to alter the perspective of text. (i.e., text goes from small to large for a three dimensional perspective, like the text is going away from you) With these 5 features added, this would be a 5 star app and would enable me to get rid of every other photo app out there.

Used to be great

Before the current upgrade, this was a great app which I used on a daily basis. Since the upgrade it takes numerous tries to load a photo into it. It crashes constantly. After maybe ten tries I might succeed. These days I always avoid having to use it.

Misleading Reviews

No, this is one of the best photo editor apps you can get on the Apple Market. Many people claim this app does not come with features they wish it had. These features are included. For example, the redo button can be found by holding down the undo button. And you do have ultimate control over lighting manipulation, it even has its own category. This application IS the closest thing to photoshop. Only flaw is the distort feature. Besides that, this is the best application for advanced photo editing.

Is this app good or bad?

I feel bad leaving a review on an app Ive never used. But I cant open it. It crashes every try.

iTunes & iCloud Export Issue

Neither can I export downloaded Torn Template file with the *.pxm extension, nor can I see iTunes as a Location below my iCloud Drive, anymore!!! After eliminating PIXELMATOR as one of the iOS options for Open in Another App when dealing with a PDF file, the last thing I needed was deactivating the above-mentioned imposed limitations! An app with a WWDC-suggestion credit must be after an ascending trend, but NOT a descending one, you know. Buying something, and then getting less than what it originally entailed is unfair, Im afraid. I hope this review will help you guys to, at least, stop giving less. Thanks for your early considerations in advance. Regards

It could be better with CR2 files support

The app is great, I cant think of all of the uses that I can give this app, you just have so many options but there is only one thing that bugs me. This app does not have support for CR2 RAW files (Canon RAW files). Pleas add support for this, is the only think that the app needs to be perfect, Im enjoying the app so far. Pleas keep making it better.
